Centro 7.8.0 Release Notes

Note: Centro WebApp requires .NET 4.7.2 or greater.

Overview

Centro 7.8.0 adds features that help users' productivity as well as user base adoption. Collaboration encourages a dialog between people through state snapshots in SpinFire Web as well as comment threads.

Other features such as  faceted browser empowers users to navigate their data set and LDAP improvements provides easy-to-use in-application LDAP configuration for system administrators.

Issues addressed:

• 3D Search
  • 3D search results don't contain same details as other search results.
  • Adding a 3D Search on the Search page only works once.
  • 3D Search shows wrong count if some results are not shown due to lack of permissions.
  • 3D search upload modal has unnecessary margins.
  • Refreshing a duplicates 3D Search will search for similar.
• Admin Area
  • Activity list display is misaligned when the content of the activity wrap on a new line.
  • Changes for Linked Users is not saved in Modify user access page when saving twice.
  • Category with this name already exists pop-up appears when creating category without name.
  • User has access to SpinFire Web without "Access SpinFire Web" permission.
  • Clicking Version Info tab of Importer Options results in blanked page.
  • Admin area loads without the selected tab name in the URL.
  • Admin Area: Selecting a tab reloads all tab information.
  • Limit the length of Name and Description fields when creating a Property Set.
  • Translation string is displayed instead of an error message when the user deletes a Custom Property twice.
  • Error is not specified when the user tries to delete a Property Set twice.
  • Long tag name breaks the deletion confirmation window.
• BOM Manager
  • BOM Manager: Flickering of the scrollbar makes the page difficult to use.
  • BOM Manager: Add resources window throws an exception.
• Browser Issues
  • Internet Explorer: Activity table in the Admin Area is shown incorrectly.
  • Internet Explorer: Impossible to change language.
  • SpinFire Web exception is thrown when the part is loading under Internet Explorer.
  • Chrome "insecure content" warning when HTTPS enabled, relates to HTTP font URL.
  • Internet Explorer: Syntax Error on the Job Explorer page.
• Catalog Compare
  • A long attribute name breaks compare table.
• Catalog Part View
  • Add Assembly Revision button is visible and enabled when user has only Read permission in the Catalog Part View.
  • Disable the elements on Part View page if the user has only read permission.
  • The Projects field is still open for editing after the user clicks on the Save button in the Part View page.
  • For consistency, rename "Read CAD attributes" to "Read CAD Attributes" in the hamburger menu.
  • The long Catalog Part name breaks projects page.
  • Assembly tree never loads if the user deleted a child part.
  • Possibility to execute HTML tags when deleting Assembly Revision.
  • Unable to rename a resource with special characters, even though you can upload it with those characters.
  • Resource edit dialog input should be disabled when user does not have write permission on the Catalog Part.
  • Show an confirmation alert with a message when adding/deleting assembly revision.
• Catalog Projects
  • An exception in console is shown when the user change the type of Project Custom Properties.
  • Page switches to the first when the user hide a part in a Project View Page.
  • Users can add catalog parts to projects on which they only have Read access.
  • Project Custom Properties are added to DB with the "null" value if the user leaves the value blank when added to the project.
  • Project List filtering does not work for Custom Property fields of type Number.
  • Active/Archived project labels are not shown for a long project name.
• Catalog Search
  • Comparison parameter NotEqual does not work in the Advanced Search by Tags.
  • Additional search option is removed when the user presses the Enter keyboard button on the Value field.
  • The list of existing tags is not displayed for additional search options after the user saves the advanced search and then opens it for editing.
  • Search with the term that already exists in current searches throws an exception.
  • Possibility to execute HTML tags when removing Advanced Search.
  • Shared searches section always collapses on the first click of a shared search.
  • Allow duplicate search to make distinction between no results and no results because of inaccessible parts.
• Custom Properties
  • Custom Properties for a restored archived Project become unavailable in the Project View.
  • Cannot set default value of project custom property of type checkbox.
  • Admin Area: Project custom properties edit and delete buttons wrap when then don't need to.
  • Modal titles for "Create Custom Property" and "Create Property Set" are swapped.
• DataDocs
  • Updating a standalone DataDoc with no changes now creates an error but it didn't before.
• Installation
  • Ensure no duplicate entries appear in appSettings.config.
  • A few labels in the Pipeline Host Service installation require mores space in German.
• Pipeline Manager
  • Pipeline can be created with special characters in trigger and action names fields.
  • Pipeline keeps Resource checked out when upload fails because the filename is too long.
  • JobProcess does not distinguish between a Job cancelled due to action timeout or due to user action.
  • CadToShapeSearch action fails when created STL is larger than 2GB.
  • PNG conversion fallback is broken.
  • Remove extra "PIPELINE" text before Pipeline name in the Pipeline Editor list.
  • Re-Run jobs should prompt if pipeline is not started.
• SpinFire Web
  • Don't apply length unit calculation to the Surface Angle.
  • SpinFire Web data panel tab headings should be translated.
• Users
  • Length of Display name and Username fields is not restricted when creating a new user.
