Centro 7.4.0 Release Notes

Overview

Centro 7.4.0 adds to the collaboration with the hyperlink tab, allows additional managing features such as delete Catalog parts, hide parts on project page, provides additional access to data with PMI/GD&T extraction, and improves on security with additional permission levels.

Bug Fixes & Changes

• Admin Area

  • Unauthorized message shown in Admin page when user does not have Pipeline area access.

  • Project name with HTML does not display in edit modal.

  • Syntax error on Admin page under German language.

  • Possible to create projects with the same name.

  • The category name without space brakes the warning message.

  • Categories do not appear for a new user who only has access to categories.

  • Several errors in the Applications page.

  • Admin, when archiving a project, some projects still show in the Projects List.

• Catalog

  • When changing part name in PartView, the name is not updated in the assembly tree.

  • Clicking the part-link-button on the CatalogNav clears the breadcrumbs.

  • Typo in Project Name When Manually Creating a new Catalog Part.

  • The Toggle Names button has a different sizes on the Favorited parts/projects sections.

• Catalog Part View

  • Partview page is broken when user resizes tree section.

  • Datadoc panel changes location after pressing Enter button.

  • Align the attributes and thumbnails on Compare page.

  • Check in button is disabled for Existing Resource.

  • Error when checking in a resource without location.

  • Adding Resource to an empty part does not expand the Unassigned Category.

  • Moving a resource to a bucket doesn't check write permission on part.

  • Could not generate thumbnails, ACT3D or SFW files with 7.2.3 RC4.

  • Wrong caret used in mobile display for Derived Resources collapsible section.

  • Some monolithic parts get published with empty catalogIds.

  • Update old derived resource's sourceFileHash when new derived resource is identical (and thus not uploaded).

  • Invalid confirmation translations when deleting a tag.

  • DataDoc layout breaks with multiple DataDocs.

  • Filenames can overrun other columns of data when they're long and don't have spaces.

  • Error in console when the user opens PartView page.

  • Text overlaps the button size.

  • Adding a new tag with a comma creates 2 tags.

  • Catalog Part Name is not updated when CAD model's name has updated.

  • NX part names do not match expected names from CAD model.

  • Unable to check-in Resource for placeholder Resources.

  • No explicit error when creating DataDoc with existing name.

  • Catalog reported file size should be rounded-up for very small files .

  • PartView: Assembly tree updates when name is changed to an invalid value.

• Catalog Projects

  • The count for Catalog parts per project do not automatically appear on the Catalog > Projects page.

  • The project page column headers need translation.

  • The number of part is not shown on Projects tab.

  • The big number of projects breaks UI.

  • Syntax Error is in console when the user opens edit page for project with the special symbols.

  • Sorting doesn't work on archived projects page.

• Catalog Search

  • 3D search indexing sometimes fails.

  • Erroneous entries showing up in 3DSearch results.

  • Uploading to 3DSearch failed for some parts.

  • Shared Searches disappear bug.

  • Change error reporting of CadToShapeSearch action and logging of Job.

  • Saved searches do not save edits when changing AND/OR.

• Centro Connect

  • Icon doesn't show in the system tray after installation on Windows 7.

  • "Invalid JSON primitive ." error occurs when downloading a Word file.

  • Toast notification shows AppUserModelID after installation CC.

• Importer Options
  • ProE importer options has info tooltip typo.
• Installation
  • net.pipe is not added automatically when Centro is set up as an application under existing site.
  • IIS assign port value behavior corrected.
• Pipeline

  • Empty folders generated for failed files.

  • Some Japanese characters are not correct.

  • The Part Identifying field of the CADToCatalog action does not work for a Custom Identifier.

  • The DefaultProject is not Associated to the Location.

  • Pipeline fails on first upload.

  • Deadlock in ArangoDB AQL query during CadToCatalog Action.

  • Warning message is still shown for deployed pipeline.

  • Using If-Control causes DynamicProperties validation error, prevents saving Pipelines.

  • User associated to new Resources is not consistent when adding via Pipeline.

  • The long trigger name, watched directory path, pipeline's description, file's name break UI.

  • Time disappears when the user save incorrect data.

  • xxxxxx.prc throws exception for Cad2Cad action.

  • Impossible to import the same pipeline twice in a row without refreshing the page.

  • QuickPublisher: thumbnail is not uploaded when Upload published files is not selected.

  • Action errors are masked by a logger format failure.

  • TimerTrigger does not consider daylight saving.

  • The LiveDashboard should display a useful error when CanViewJobs permission is missing.

  • PMI Font in importer options is not handled correctly.

  • Attribute sidebar is not always shown.

  • Step Files published to SFWeb show Black and No Volume.

Installation Notes

• In some cases in upgrade scenarios, settings in the centroSettings.config files may get overwritten. It's always good practice to save these before you start the upgrade process for the CentroWeb app, Pipeline Host service, and Pipeline Manager service. 
  After upgrading, check if these settings need to be reset and/or copied over from saved config files.
• For multiple site deployments after upgrading, you'll need to set the "Cookie" domain values in the web.config file found in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\Centro and in appSettings.config foudn in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\Centro\Configuration.

It's recommended to have n+1 core processors where n is the number of total concurrent jobs running.
